Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to our FAQ page. Here you will find answers to the most common questions our customers ask regarding 3D printing, our process, and how to get started. If your question is not answered here, please feel free to reach out to our support team.

What is 3D Printing?

In the most basic terms, 3D printing is the process of taking a digital 3D model and turning it into a physical object by laying down material one layer at a time. While thermoplastics are the most common material used in 3D printing, other options include metals and resins

What file formats do you accept?

We primarily accept STL and OBJ files for 3D printing. If you have a different CAD format, our team can usually convert it for you. Please ensure your models are manifold (watertight) before submission.

What is the maximum size you can print?

Our largest FDM printers have a build volume of 256mm x 256mm x 256mm. For objects larger than this, we can intelligently slice the model into smaller pieces, print them separately, and seamlessly assemble them during post-processing.

How long will my order take?

The turnaround time for 3D prints depends on several factors. First and foremost, the physical size and quantity of items will impact the overall production timeframe. Second, the complexity of the models (both in physical design and number of colors used) also will factor into the total turnaround time.
